Part-Time Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant

Come join our team! A dynamic opportunity exists within our expanding Hinsdale CPA firm seeking a qualified individual to join our professional staff. We are looking for an experienced professional to prepare both corporate and individual income tax returns, utilizing QuickBooks where appropriate.

This is a seasonal, part-time position during tax season with some weekend hours expected during tax season (20-35 hrs/wk).

Ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent communication and follow-up skills, while being personable and able to work well with both clients and staff.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Income tax preparation for small businesses. Analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliation of bank accounts, with appropriate client communication and action to resolve outstanding issues

· Income tax preparation for individuals

· Commitment to firm values of integrity, accuracy, and client satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Public accounting, with emphasis on income tax preparation.
  • Tax preparation and professional tax software experience is a strong plus
  • QuickBooks Pro experience a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Accounting degree required
