Peer Recovery Coach

Location: Maryland
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Summary

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of individuals on their recovery journey? As a Peer Recovery Coach , you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and healthcare providers by assessing needs, facilitating treatment, and coordinating ongoing care for those with Substance Use Disorders. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to use your lived experience and professional expertise to empower others, inspire hope, and promote long-term recovery.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma required

Experience Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • The candidate must be actively engaged in his/her own recovery program with a minimum of three years of demonstrated personal recovery and sustained abstinence from alcohol and/or drug use.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a peer recovery coach

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer service and organizational skills

  • Clear and compassionate communication—written, verbal, and electronic

  • Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

  • Solid math, reading, adaptability, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with typing and word processing

Salary Range: Minimum 17.76/hour - Maximum 26.64/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
